Publisher Take-Two Interactive has officially confirmed the release date for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI), setting it for November 19, 2026. The highly anticipated game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S platforms.
This announcement serves to refute circulating rumors of a potential delay for the game. It also addresses the global community’s concern following a mistaken preorder price display on Google search results.
Earlier, Google search results inaccurately showed the PS5 version priced at £0.16, approximately Rp3,000, due to a system error. Screenshots of this incorrect data were first shared on social media by user Saukko505, shortly after an email rumor about Best Buy preorders was also deemed inaccurate.
Management officially disclosed the launch schedule during a regular earnings conference, with CEO Strauss Zelnick making the confirmation on May 21, 2026. The publisher anticipates a significant increase in net revenue, projecting between USD 8 billion and USD 8.2 billion in fiscal year 2027.

This projected revenue marks a substantial increase compared to the USD 6.72 billion recorded in fiscal year 2026. Initial promotional activities for the game are slated to commence around late June, coinciding with the summer season.
Rockstar Games, the development studio, is reportedly preparing to activate its full marketing strategy during this period. The company intends to leverage the summer window for its promotional efforts.

Industry analysts currently estimate the official price of GTA VI to range from USD 70 to USD 100. This equates to approximately Rp1.1 million to Rp1.6 million.
Previously, GTA VI had an initial release target of May 2, 2025, before Rockstar announced a delay to May 26, 2026. The latest confirmation solidifies the November 19, 2026, launch date.
